RIG LEADS ENGINEERING OPERATIONS (RLEO) is an engineering consulting firm, specialising in all aspects of drilling equipment, downhole tools and development. Rig Lead’s strength lies in its field based consulting practice, executed by teams of engineers and technicians with a wealth of practical field experience

Our Senior Management Team is composed of highly qualified, experienced professionals who have extensive managerial experience in a variety of business aspects including engineering, construction, sales, marketing and management. The founders of the Company also have substantial experience in all aspects of hull, fabric and structure asset management including condition assessment; class requirements; solution development; budget preparation; contract preparation; financial control; implementation; and close out development. This experience has been gained across the industry on all forms of facility from shallow water jack-ups through semi-submersibles to accommodation platforms. What Can We Offer


We can provide various types of analysis to suit your operational demands. This includes dry tow, local and global structural analysis, analysis of decks, pontoons, drilling derrick, buckling of stability column due to wastage, accommodation modules, ROV launch and recovery spreads, effect of general corrosion on ballast tanks, girders, tubulars, etc. Conversion of conventional mooring system to Tri Catenary Mooring Systems with deadman anchors, bow modification for FPSO.  Please refer to WORK SITE LOCATOR and CASE STUDY for additional information about real life jobs.


We have experience in the analysis of Jack-up structures in accordance with SNAME. This includes global analysis of hull structures with included wave load, wind load, deck loads, etc. against ABS and DNV requirements. This service includes Fitness for Purpose Hull Wastage, simulating repair and modification under loads, deck load analysis, substructure analysis, leg analysis, raw water tower, leg strengthening, site specific assessment and much more. We have accumulated experience in verifying and strengthening of the BOP frame, wellhead spider under load. We can provide detailed analysis for BOP frames as well as influence of LMRP and BOP package on each other. This analysis is routinely done to qualify for modifications of frame, angel wings, risk of choke and kill connection overload, upgrading of BOP and for new load conditions such as excursion. We currently provide assistance services on Existing and New piping systems. Existing System: To recommend to you or your selected NDT company, the limit at which remedial limit such as cropping and renewal of components are required as well as system screening against ASME B31.3 code requirements and Predictive Maintenance Manual. New System: To recommend to you the appropriate and desirable piping component and system along with inspection regime combination for your new build or to replace the existing system that needs upgrading or retirement. Computer aided analysis to verify proposed piping system conformance to ASME B31.1, 31.3 and 31.4 ASME Class II, API 16C OR Fitness for Purpose Analysis. ASME VIII Div. I evaluation of pressure vessel such as APV is done with COMPRESS software with code check.


We can provide draughtsman / engineer for onsite work to investigate scope or work, input data for drafting/calculations, design concept. We also offer post-processing services of Laser Scan data using perpetual LFM SERVER incense with our trained personnel to extract the Point Cloud scan data for subsequent design / engineering works. Where required, we arrange for and write up specification for laser scanning third party laser scan supplier to ensure that appropriate data and extent of scanning can be used for current and subsequent project.


We can provide suggestions and solutions for existing and new structures. That includes new concepts, cost-effective options, structural modifications and repair maintenance as well as corrosion allowance.
